Doctor's Corner
"Studies show that 15% of women’s OB/GYN visits are due to irritation caused by menstruation care products. The primary cause being tampons produced from synthetic fibers and plastic. These fibers can shed, leaving fiber residue inside of your vagina that can cause irritation. As doctors, we recommend 100% organic cotton tampons; however, many organic cotton tampons still shed, so we created our own. DeoDoc’s 100% organic cotton tampons do not shed due to a special 100% cotton netting surrounding the tampon to ensure complete safety for your vagina and an irritation-free period."

FAQs
Have your tampons been tested for heavy metals?
- Our tampons (and our main overall product range) are certified to the Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS), worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent third-party certification of the entire supply chain.
- GOTS has strict regulations for the presence of chemical substances that could pose a potential health and safety risk. It sets limit values for several chemicals, including heavy metals.
- DeoDoc has been relying on third party testing to analyze raw cotton fibers for heavy metals for more than five years. The results obtained hereby comply with GOTS limit values.
- Recent batches of finished products (non-applicator tampons & cardboard applicator tampons) have been tested by an external laboratory for the presence of heavy metals. The results show full compliance with GOTS limit values.
DO THE TAMPONS CONTAIN ANY SYNTHETIC MATERIALS?
There are no synthetic materials used in our tampons. The entire tampon, including the protective outer netting, is made out of 100% organic cotton. The applicator is made out of biodegradable cardboard.
CAN DEODOC TAMPONS IRRITATE THE INTIMATE AREA?
Synthetic materials are the most common cause of irritation from tampons. DeoDoc tampons are solely made out of 100% organic cotton and have been clinically tested as hypoallergenic and non-irritating.

Our tampons have a protective outer netting that covers the whole tampon which prevents the release of any fiber residues.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY TAMPON?

DOES USING 100% ORGANIC COTTON COMPROMISE TAMPON ABSORBENCY?
No, the absorbency is not compromised from using 100% organic cotton.
CAN THE TAMPONS BE FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET?
Tampons should never be flushed down the toilet. They take too long to break down in the water waste systems, even biodegradable ones (like DeoDoc's) can take months to break down. Tampons can also clog up plumbing systems as they are absorbent and therefore expand when flushed.
